Using this adapter kit to install a GM 200R4 transmission into a GM 1st-gen F-body or 3rd-gen X-body vehicle with the Hooker Blackheart 12626HKR transmission crossmember requires user-executed modification/welding to be performed on the crossmember, as described in the installation instructions included with this adapter kit.
Use of this adapter kit with any other Hooker Blackheart transmission crossmember it is listed for use with requires no modifications to the crossmember.
