BMR is pleased to introduce the most well-balanced rear suspension available for the First and Second Generation Camaro and Firebird. Using our proven track record in torque arm development and application, BMR has developed an application-specific torque arm conversion kit that brings modern suspension technology to this platform.

Versatility - With a torque arm you get the best of both worlds, lateral stability for acceleration traction and centered suspension articulation for bind-free handling. This makes a torque arm great for street, drag racing, or road racing without compromising any application. BMR kits are available for the popular GM 12 bolt or the Ford 9” rear ends and both kits are 100% bolt-in with no welding or fabrication required.

Better spring control and dampening - The BMR Torque Arm Conversion Kit eliminates the rear leaf springs, replacing them with a custom upper cross-member, adjustable control arms and QA1 double adjustable coil-over shocks. Multiple spring weights are available and BMR can help calculate your ideal spring choice when ordering.

Lateral Stability – BMR chose not to compromise when designing an axle locating device for the torque arm conversion. It would have been easy to use a Panhard rod for this application but there is nothing better than a Watts link for precise side-to-side axle positioning. The Watts link pivot is machined from 6061 billet aluminum and utilizes greasable, internally fluted Delrin bushings for a long, trouble-free life. Additionally it is supported in a double-shear fashion unlike others on the market.

Adjustability – Every component in the torque arm conversion kit is adjustable. The torque arm itself provides pinion adjustability. Control arms are adjustable in length and have multiple mounting holes plotted in an arc to provide adjustment for anti-squat characteristics. The shocks have both compression and rebound adjustability as well as spring adjustability. Additionally, the shock/spring combos have multiple mounting holes to allow a wide range of ride heights. The Watts link pivot as well as the links themselves have multiple height mounting positions for changing rear CG location. BMR provides detailed instructions on properly setting up the kit, once installed and, as always, a knowledgeable tech staff on hand.

NOTE: A BMR Transmission Conversion Crossmember must be used with the Torque Arm Suspension Kit. Transmission Crossmembers are available for a variety of transmissions. All Transmission Crossmembers are sold separately.
