Our precision made aluminum body shocks have larger bodies, shafts and components, plus extra oil capacity providing the needed damping control vital for Ford Lightning traction and handling improvements. Our new shock offers the Lightning and soon more trucks increased stability and ride quality while maintaining comfort, perfect for daily driving and performance cruising. Our 6061 aluminum hard anodized body provides superior heat dissipation for consistent shock performance. The montube design incorporates the oil/gas separator to prevent cavitation during rapid shock cycling. Hotchkis Tuned Shocks are factory filled with the best Red Line full synthetic shock oil with a high viscosity index of 540 for superior performance across all temperatures and to eliminate shock fade. Because of our revolutionary and highly beneficial 2.25" (larger than stock) shock body, some small lower a-arm modifications are necessary to install our shocks.
