The Mountain Goat Series adjustable rear track bar is a necessary upgrade on any lifted Jeep JK Wrangler. The length of our adjustable rear track bar is easily adjusted while mounted on your Jeep JK using the integral 4140 chrome moly double adjuster to perfectly center the rear axle housing beneath the vehicle. Simply loosen the two jam nuts, turn the adjuster's center hex until you reach the length you need and then tighten down the jam nuts, it's that simple.
Our adjustable rear track bar is compatible with virtually any suspension system, from bone stock to 6" or more of lift, and allows for easy adjustment changes as your vehicle modifications require.
The ends of our adjustable rear track bar feature fluted and greasable polyurethane bushings on the chassis end and a high strength Teflon lined chrome moly spherical joint on the rear axle end. These were chosen to provide maximum off-road performance and articulation while minimizing the transfer of road noise and vibrations on the street.
Manufactured from 100% TIG welded high strength 1.25" 4130N chrome moly tubing, our adjustable rear track bar is precison formed to ensure proper geometry and optimum clearance of most aftermarket differential covers. A brilliant and durable powder coated finish in your choice of the above colors provides excellent protection from corrosion, rocks and debris.
Why do lifted Jeep JK Wranglers need an adjustable rear track bar?
The rear track bar controls the lateral (side to side) positioning of the rear axle housing. It is attached to the chassis on the passenger's side and to the rear axle housing on the driver's side. When you lift your Jeep JK Wrangler it changes the distance between the mounting points and moves the rear axle housing out of alignment (pushed off to one side).
The fixed length of the factory rear track bar won't allow for length adjustments to re-center the rear axle housing. Unless corrected, this misalignment will place stress on suspension and driveline components, create alignment problems and prevent proper suspension operation.
