COLORADOSPEED was founded in 2001, initially only selling GM LS and CHEVROLET small block performance parts. Eventually expanding to the FORD MOD and CHRYSLER HEMI market soon after and later adding EUROPEAN and SPORT COMPACT to the line up.

In 2014, COLORADOSPEED created COSPEEDtuning to offer custom PCM, ECM and TCM tuning with HP tuners.

As of 2025, COLORADOSPEED only markets hand held tuning and programming devices along with continuing to offer PCM, ECM and TCM custom tuning with HP tuners.
