Interface Upgrade to MPVI4
Ready to upgrade to our latest technology? Trade-in any previous generation HP Tuners interface, Standard or Pro, for the latest generation, MPVI4.
The "upgrade process" transfers all the vehicle licenses and credits from your old device to your new MPVI4 device. No additional credits are included or required, and there’s no need to purchase new licenses for vehicles you’ve already licensed.
This is a trade-in program which means you will NOT receive your old device back. Instead, you will receive an MPVI4 with all your existing credits and vehicle licenses.
How It Works
Step 1: To purchase this upgrade, you MUST be logged into your HP Tuners account and your MPVI device MUST be registered under "My Devices". Then, select the serial number of the device you want to upgrade in the dropdown above.
Step 2: Once you have successfully purchased the upgrade service, please back up your old device. You can do this by opening VCM Editor and clicking HELP > RESYNC INTERFACE.
Step 3: Then, you're ready to ship your old device to HP Tuners! Find shipping and service time information below.
NOTE: This upgrade option does not include the PROLINK+ cable for trade-in Pro devices. However, you can add the PROLINK+ cable to your MPVI4 Interface Upgrade order
here. Please note that PROLINK+ is not required to use MPVI4.

Select controllers on MPVI4 such as Ford EEC-V, Mopar JTEC, JTEC+,JTEC+B, and NGC3 will be supported in a future update.
Important Notes
- This upgrade is available for ALL previous generation devices, Pro and Standard, including MPVI, MPVI2, MPVI2+, and MPVI3.
- Vehicle licenses and credits will be transferred assuming the old device sent in for upgrading is fully functional and contains licenses and credits.
- If HP Tuners receives a non-functional device for upgrading, we are unable to transfer any vehicle licenses/credits that may be on the device.
- Please resync your old device before shipping it to HP Tuners for upgrading. You can do this by opening VCM Editor and clicking HELP > RESYNC INTERFACE.
- This is a trade-in service, so you will not receive your old interface back.
- PROLINK+ is NOT included with this MPVI4 Interface Upgrade. However, you can add the PROLINK+ cable to your MPVI4 Interface Upgrade order. Please note that PROLINK+ is not required to use MPVI4.

Please allow
at least 3 business days for the transfer to be completed and for your new interface to be shipped back to you. Your old Interface will not be shipped back.
NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs to and from HP Tuners. The shipping charge at checkout only covers shipping your new MPVI3 device to you. You can ship your old device to HP Tuners via any carrier you prefer.
HP TUNERS' COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
HP Tuners designs and manufactures software and hardware tools for vehicle diagnostics, scanning, logging, calibration, and data acquisition purposes. The authorized use of such tools is to bring a motor vehicle into emissions compliance and/or to maintain emissions compliance, as well as for use on competition/racing and other exempted vehicles. HP Tuners does not create or provide tunes or pre-made calibrations.
HP Tuners' Terms of Use, policies, and agreements mandate that users shall comply with all local, state, and federal laws. In using HP Tuners software and hardware tools, you are representing, warranting, and agreeing not to use, employ or allow any HP Tuners tools to operate as a defeat device or to violate emissions compliance in any manner whatsoever. You further represent warrant and agree that the HP Tuners tools shall only be used by manufacturers, calibration businesses, and professionals to develop emissions-compliant and/or exempted calibrations.
Limited Product Warranties
Interfaces and Hardware Components
Duration: One (1) year from the date of purchase
Coverage: This limited one (1) year warranty only covers product defects caused by HP Tuners and is only redeemable within the original country or region of purchase by the original purchaser. This limited warranty does not extend to software or other digital products. To make a warranty claim, please provide your Proof of Purchase (original invoice and order number), device serial number (if applicable), Debug and Info logs, license file and photo evidence of defects to HP Tuners Support.
The Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Damage to product resulting from accidents, neglect, or misuse; exposure to liquid, moisture, or dirt; abnormal conditions (temperature extremes) or improper storage.
- Scratches or other cosmetic damage.
- Damage to connection points due to excessive force or improper use.
- Devices that have had the serial number removed, defaced, damaged, or altered in any way.
- Ordinary wear and tear.
- Products that have been modified, tampered with, or serviced by an unauthorized party.
Vehicle Control Modules
(PCM/ECM/TCM- New and Modification Service)
Evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Vehicle Control Modules, whether new or modified by HP Tuners, carry no warranties, expressed or implied, and are offered "as is". In the event of a problem with a Vehicle Control Module product or service, please submit a ticket to HP Tuners
Support for resolution.
