* Intake manifold pressure sensor, turbo pressure sensor, air flow sensor, cam angle sensor (rotation signal), vehicle speed signal (connect optionally).
* The wiring process is necessary for connecting the vehicle speed signal.
Many boost-up products use rotation signals for control, but Power Editor R uses vehicle speed and rotation signals. This makes it possible to control each gear with the optimal correction value.
The Easy Writer for Power Editor R (free) allows users to create their own original custom data. Therefore, detailed settings are possible based on the individual vehicle.
* Easy Writer for Power Editor R is not provided in the product. Please download it from the HKS official website.
* Windows PC (Windows10/11) is necessary.
By using the map changeover switch harness (included), you can switch between the two patterns of settings saved in the main unit. (The switch is not included in the package, so please prepare it yourself.)
You can return it to the normal state by using the provided return connector (*1), even after installing this product (after wiring).
Main unit function
By using the RPM signal, vehicle speed signal, and throttle signal, the 4-channel voltage signal and the 1-channel pulse-type air flow signal can be corrected.

- REV, SPD, and THR are shown in the graphical representation. You can easily find the point to check sensuously.

- You can set the time from when the engine starts until the correction starts.
[Noise cancellation function]

Precaution
- Setting by Easy Writer is required after installing this product.
- This product is applicable to the vehicle equipped with the boost pressure control sensor.
- Excessive boost increase may cause serious damage to the engine and/or turbine.
Vehicle Specific Kit Features
- Introducing the "Power Editor R" - a new boost upgrade kit for the FK8 Civic Type R .
- It utilizes more sensor inputs than the standard Power Editor for seamless power delivery across the entire RPM range.
- The kit includes two preset maps:
- Map A: For stock airbox
- Map B: For cold air intake
- Note: Must remove HKS AFR (if installed). HKS AFR is a product that comes with the cold air intake (not the stock AFR sensor).
- Easily switch between maps using the included harness. Note: Switch sold separately.
- The system can be easily returned to stock settings - simply use the included return connector to restore stock operation. Note: Vehicle will not start with HKS Cold air intake setup without proper fuel tuning.
- Installation involves intercepting four sensor channels:
- Ch1: Boost pressurre
- Ch2: Intake manifold pressure
- Ch3: Air flow
- Ch4: Throttle position
- Cam angle sensor (RPM signal)
- Vehicle speed input (optional)
Power and Torque Data
Installing the Power Editor R delivers substantial power and torque gains throughout the rev range. When paired with HKS Cold Air Intake, you'll especially feel strong torque buildup from 3,500 RPM - perfect for overtaking, highway merging, and corner exits.

Warranty for Electronic Products
HKS Co., Ltd. warrants to the original retail purchaser that the HKS Electronic Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase.

Warranty Conditions
When the product(s) is installed and used properly as instructed in the manual within the warranty period, and any defects in manufacturing are identified, HKS will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts without charge.
The following cases are exceptions (Disclaimers)
Improper installation and/or misuse.
Mishandling during shipping, installation, and transfer.
Service, alteration, modification, and/or repair by anyone other than HKS' authorized dealers
Installing the products to inapplicable vehicles.
The aging of the material and/or parts such as dirt, scratch, rust, peeling of plating and/or painting, etc. Rust formed by sea water, snow melting agent, and/or a similar solvent.
Use with non-HKS products.
The natural disaster, such as a fire, earthquake, flood, lightening, and/or accident.
In these cases, even the defect is found within a warranty period, HKS shall not be liable under this warranty. Repairing of the defective parts may be available for a fee.
Inspection/Repair
When any defect is found within the warranty period under proper use, contact a distributor or dealer of HKS Co., Ltd. for inspection or repair.
When making a request for inspection, please describe the defect as fully as possible for the purpose of enabling the cause of defect to be found easily.
(Warranty request form will be prepared. Fill in all required items in the form. Attach pictures of the defective parts if possible.)
If descriptions of the defect are insufficient, an appropriate inspection result may not be achieved; giving specific descriptions enables us to determine the cause and conduct an accurate inspection.
Other
When the cause of defect cannot be determined by the warranty request form and pictures, the defective parts are needed to be returned to HKS Co., Ltd. (The delivery expense to Japan must be paid by the customer)
The bill of sale or other proof of purchase must be retained to receive warranty service.
When the defect is caused by the manufacturing process, HKS will repair or replace the product or refund the original purchase cost. (HKS will pay for the cost of repair / shipping to send a replacement.)
When the cause of defect is not caused by the manufacturing process, the inspection fees and shipping fee to return the inspected product may be charged. The list of inspection fee is provided separately.
Inspection may take some time before the result is determined.
