Clutch Masters single disc clutch kits are true high performance clutch systems which are technologically superior to anything currently on the market. By re-engineering the leverage or fulcrum point on the pressure plate through our Hi-Leverage technique, we have been able to increase clamping power, often without changing pedal pressure. Our Hi-Leverage technology allows us to move the pressure plate leverage ring closer to the pivot point. Doing this has allowed us to solve the clamping vs. pedal pressure problem in a unique way. By moving the pressure ring pivot point, our Hi-Leverage Pressure Plates take mechanical advantage of the leverage principle. By moving the leverage ring closer to the pivot point as well as re-arching and precisely heat treating the clutch diaphragm, the pressure applied to the clutch disc is increased significantly without unnecessarily increasing pedal pressure, as is typically the case with other aftermarket clutch options. Moving the pivot point takes several extra steps to accomplish when manufacturing our clutches in order for them to work flawlessly with OEM stamped covers and is something we’ve perfected through our over 40 years of industry expertise.

In addition to our ability to increase clamping pressure without increasing pedal pressure, there are some other key advantages realized when using our Hi-Leverage technology. One serious problem associated with increased pedal pressure is it increases the chances of damaging the crank thrust bearing, inherently leading to crank-walk. Increased pedal pressure can put additional strain and fatigue on clutch linkages, throw out bearings and hydraulic systems causing them to fail prematurely.

All stages come as a complete kit including disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing (when applicable), and alignment tool. (Individual components available upon request)

ALL SYSTEMS INCLUDE:

  • Improved Clamping Force
  • Minimal Increase in Pedal Pressure
170% Increase in Holding Capacity - RACE/STREET

The FX400 System uses the Power Plus I, Hi-Levarage, Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate with a custom and extremely durable, Sprung Ceramic disc. This is the ultimate extreme duty street and/or road/drag racing system. It is available in a 6 or 8 ceramic puck configuration. The 6-puck being the more aggressive setup and 8-puck being the less aggressive. The sprung hub design allows for moderate dampening in high-torque applications, rendering it much more street friendly than solid or rigid designs. This disc is designed for long life, outstanding holding capacity, and rapid heat dissipation.

The FX400/HDCL (8-puck) ceramic full face disc design creates a quick and rapid engagement and maintains minimal chatter due to the marcel cushion between the disc linings. This disc is designed for street driven vehicles.

The FX400/HDC6 (6-Puck) ceramic paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter that may not be ideal for street driven vehicles. *Warning* Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design, the FX400 6 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem, we only use premium ceramic friction material.

  • Heavy-Duty 4 or 6 puck or Segmented 8 Puck Ceramic Button Disc
    • Premium Ceramic Friction Material
    • Heavy-Duty Sprung Hub
    • No Marcel
  • OEM or better Release Bearing
  • Pilot Bearing
  • Alignment Tool
  • Instruction Card
  • Decals
*Ceramic based clutch disc are not intended to increase the life expectancy of a clutch but rather to increase the holding capacity and improve the durability of the clutch. Using a ceramic based material for easy street driving may reduce the life of the clutch kit due to harsh engagement and higher tendency to slip the clutch kit. Ceramic disc are never recommended for stock or near stock vehicle applications.
