HOW IT WORKS
Using the Borla app, you can listen to available sounds in the Borla library and view details on the vehicle & engine each will simulate. The library is ever-expanding with internal-combustion favorites and imagined sounds of the future.

With the vehicle in Park, you can use the app to assign up to four sounds at a time to the preset positions on the dashboard-mounted Controller. This unit allows you to instantly change sounds, adjust volume and turn the system on/off, either while driving or stopped.

LIVE VEHICLE DATA STREAMS TO THE DSP
500 packets of data per second - including throttle position, RPM, braking, motor load, wheel speed and more - flow from your vehicle's CAN Bus to the Borla system's Digital Signal Processor (DSP).

Encoded within the DSP are proprietary algorithms developed specifically for driving enthusiasts. By analyzing the incoming CAN Bus data and using techniques similar to modern digital music generation, the algorithms "shape" your selected motorsound to simulate the acoustical dynamics and subtle performance nuances that are critical to the sport driving experience.

HEAR AND FEEL THE POWER
Boosted by a 300-watt amplifier integrated with the DSP, you'll hear the RPMs rush to redline through a simulated transmission, the wind-down of throttle lifts, the staccato notes of a rev limiter and more, pumped through dual 6x9 inch drivers hidden behind the rear undercar shield.

The speakers are protected by a weatherproof enclosure with environmental coating, bolting to existing factory mount points. Special-density rubber bushings within the mounts transfer just the right amount of subtle vibration to the cabin, further enhancing the system's realism.

A FINISHING TOUCH
Included with Mach-E systems, these Borla-embossed speaker grilles slide & lock into existing factory cutouts in the rear undercar shield for a clean and finished look.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED
The Borla Active Performance Sound system is a complete plug & play solution. It includes the Controller, DSP, amplifier, speakers, mounting hardware, wiring, and the app (coming March 2024 or earlier). Clear DIY installation instructions are included, and no special fabrication is required.

Your Borla Active Performance Sound system comes preloaded with four premium sound profiles recorded from actual Borla-equipped vehicles: a Shelby Mustang GT500, Mustang GT 5.0L, Charger SRT 392 and Corvette C8. An unlimited number of additional sounds will be available via regular updates to the Borla app. Including classic cars, 12-cylinder exotics, hot sport compacts and more.

ALTERNATIVE SOUNDS COMING SOON
The Borla EV team is also working with FX artists in the entertainment and music industries to create alternative sounds from jet fighters to sci-fi propulsion systems.

This BORLA Active Performance Sound system is designed specifically for the Mustang Mach-E. When you add an Active Performance Sound system to your Mach-E you give it the personality that it has been missing. Better yet, that personality comes with options. The sound of a powertrain adds a cherished layer of sensory awareness to driving enthusiasts, informing them of engine load, throttle input and more. By combining a proprietary algorithm with state-of-the-art audio processing and amplification technology, BORLA'S Active Performance Sound system mirrors speed, power, RPM, torque and load with zero latency. The system intensifies the sensation and excitement of EV driving, adding that "auditory connection" drivers covet.

Sound for BORLA's Active Performance Sound system comes from professional recordings of actual BORLA-equipped internal-combustion engine(ICE) vehicles. Multiple microphones capture all characteristics of ICE audio - including idle, ramps to redline, cruising, throttle lifts, "burbles & pops" and more. Using real-time data from the EV's internal computer, the BORLA system generates a hyper-realistic ICE soundtrack that perfectly matches the EV motor status and other vehicle dynamics.

Active Performance Sound systems are covered by a 2 year parts and workmanship warranty.
