Manufactured from A356 aluminum using permanent-mold technology, AFR Gen III Hemi Aluminum Cylinder Heads are outfitted with our trademarked .750" thick head deck to meet the boost and power demands of today's OEM and aftermarket engines. We have improved the water jacketing for enhanced cooling while retaining a minimum of .200" port to water jacket thickness. Machine option available to add bolt hole and dowel provisioning for Hellcat superchargers. Designed for us with hydraulic roller camshafts up to .650" lift, these heads are available in three different versions:

185cc As-Cast Cylinder Heads
These heads feature as-cast 185cc intake and 75cc exhaust runners, 69cc as-cast combustion chambers with 2.050 inch intake and 1.590 inch exhaust valves, and 1.290 inch diameter PAC Racing dual valve springs rated to .600 inch of valve lift. Assembled heads come with stainless steel valve spring retainers, 10-degree valve locks, and Viton valve seals.

224cc Cylinder Heads
These heads feature CNC-machined 224cc intake and 75cc exhaust runners, your choice of 69cc or 73cc CNC-profiled combustion chambers with 2.165 inch intake and 1.650 inch exhaust valves, and 1.270 inch diameter PAC Racing dual valve springs rated to .600 inch of valve lift. Assembled heads come with titanium valve spring retainers, 10-degree valve locks, and Viton valve seals.

212cc Cylinder Heads
These heads feature CNC-machined 212cc intake and 75cc exhaust runners, your choice of 69cc or 73cc CNC-profiled combustion chambers with 2.125 inch intake and 1.650 inch exhaust valves, and 1.290 inch diameter PAC Racing dual valve springs rated to .600 inch of valve lift. Assembled heads come with titanium valve spring retainers, 10-degree valve locks, and Viton valve seals.

Footnotes
  • With some domed aftermarket pistons, it may be necessary to slightly clearance or modify the piston due to our more efficient heart shaped combustion chamber design. Most of the newer designed dome profiles will clear. AFR strongly recommends material be removed from the piston and not the cylinder head. Our combustion chamber shapes are very critical to flow and altering the cylinder head can adversely affect flow and power production. It is the customers responsibility to verify proper piston to head clearance.
  • Heads are designed for 3/8" pushrods. Larger pushrods will not fit without clearancing and is not recommended since some areas are very thin. AFR recommends the use of .120" thick-wall pushrods.
  • For ideal geometry and wipe pattern AFR strongly recommends AFR stud mount rockers part #6043 for applications below 7400 RPM and .790 lift. For applications above these limits shaft mount rockers are typically advised.
