EMISSIONS
This part is legal under the provisions of EPA's Anti-Tampering Policy. COBB Tuning has established a reasonable basis (testing results) and Emissions Certification that verifies that this product allows the vehicle to operate within legal emissions standards and is therefore legal to be sold for on-street use in all states that accept the legal provisions of the Clean Air Act and EPA's Anti-Tampering Policy.
NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN CALIFORNIA ON ANY EMISSION CONTROLLED MOTOR VEHICLE.
Testing with the California Air Resources Board, in order to achieve 50-state compliance, is pending. Once testing is complete with California, and an EO number is issued, this product will be updated to 50-state legal status.
DESCRIPTION
The COBB Tuning Flash Kit Pro utilizes the already-known and proven EcuTek dongle and software to harness the power of COBB Tuning's exclusive custom features. The kit includes a special tuning license for all COBB OTS maps.
Each Map will have map slots that incorporate different COBB Custom features and safeties depending on which slot the customer selects:
COBB Traction Control
COBB Engine Safety Measures (Both Oil Temp & Water/Coolant Temp based)
Valet Mode
Customers will have the ability to switch between the map slots using the cruise control stalk or they can utilize the mobile app and our custom map slot presets to seamlessly transition between them while on the go!
Our Flash Kit coupled with OTS maps are fully covered by an EO from CARB meaning that your customers both inside and outside CA can tune their vehicle using COBB without worry!

WHY?
The Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 are very good right out of the box, but also lend themselves perfectly to tuning and performance upgrades. Enjoying either of the 86 twins on the track benefits hugely from tuning and this is the best ECU tuning solution available to turn up an otherwise stock car. While power increases are minimal, the implementation of COBB Custom Features significantly improve both performance and drivability when at or near the limit.
WARRANTY
VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY AND EMISSIONS DISCLAIMER
Some items used and/or installed by COBB Tuning may void portions of your vehicle's factory warranty. Some items may not be legal for "on highway use". COBB Tuning makes no guarantees to the legality of any parts used for "on highway vehicles" and accepts no responsibility for compliance with the vehicle's factory warranty.
NON-COBB PRODUCT INFORMATION
Products sold by COBB Tuning but not manufactured by COBB Tuning are covered only by the warranty of the manufacturer. COBB Tuning can help coordinate returns, exchanges, or warranty claims of these products per the terms of that manufacturer's policies. COBB Tuning may accept returns of non-COBB Tuning branded products on a case-by-case basis. In these rare cases, a 20-80% restocking fee may apply, at the discretion of COBB Tuning.
COBB COMPONENT LIMITED WARRANTY
COBB Tuning Products, LLC warrants to the original retail purchaser that all components manufactured by COBB Tuning, or sold under the COBB brand, and purchased directly from COBB Tuning or from an Authorized COBB Tuning dealer hold a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship ("Limited Warranty"). This Limited Warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser of the component. This Limited Warranty is intended to cover components only when they are used in the manner for which they were originally designed. This Limited Warranty is void on all products found to have been used in racing or off-road applications, of any nature whatsoever, and on all products that show evidence of abuse, lack of proper maintenance, improper installation, misapplications, alteration in any way whatsoever from their original design or negligence in the use of COBB Tuning products. This Limited Warranty does not cover normal maintenance or wear items such as belts, brake pad material, clutch disc friction material, and brake rotors. COBB Tuning accepts no responsibility for any special, incidental, or consequential damages or costs or grievances incurred by failure of a COBB Tuning component, including but not limited to labor and shipping costs. All implied warranties shall be limited in duration to the said 12-month warranty period and shall be limited to the express terms and provisions of this Limited Warranty.
PROCEDURES FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS
In the event a problem occurs with a COBB component, please contact COBB Tuning at 866-922-3059 during our normal business hours. When speaking to a customer representative, you will need to have your invoice number on hand. The following steps will then be followed: 1. COBB representative will determine if product will have to be returned to COBB Tuning for inspection. A RMA number will be given to be placed clearly on the shipping label. 2. The retailer or the customer will ship the component in question back to COBB Tuning, including the original sales receipt and a clear description of the exact problem experienced. It is the responsibility of the retailer or the customer to pay for shipping back to COBB Tuning. 3. If COBB finds the component to be defective and within the warranty period, COBB will repair, replace, or issue credit to the customer at COBB's option. Any repaired or replaced product will be returned to the retailer or customer, freight prepaid via ground or by truck. Please note that no replacement warranty parts can be shipped until original parts are returned to COBB tuning for inspection.
