The Hurst Roll/Control, Line/Loc kit for your 1971-1980 GM F-Body is primarily used in drag racing to lock the front wheels allowing for more consistent burnouts when heating up the tires to make a pass. This kit comes with all the necessary parts needed to easily install a Hurst Line/Loc system on your vehicle. Includes a stainless steel Roll/Control valve, brake line, fittings, lighted momentary switch, bracket, wiring, and much more. Rigorous testing has proved a 1/100,000 of a second release time and vibration tests have seen up to 30 G's applied without mechanical failure.

The advanced quality design utilizes a stainless steel valve assembly for ultimate corrosion resistance. Other features include a fully enclosed epoxy-molded electrical coil for reliability, an attractive finned aluminum housing that helps dissipate heat, and a wider lightweight base that provides better mounting stability and 150-micron screen-filtered ports to prevent contamination. The Roll/Control Kit is field serviceable for cleaning or rebuilding and comes with an extra threaded port for a separate bleeder or brake line pressure gauge. The kit also includes a snap-action switch, indicator light, 4-amp fuse, mounting screws, and installation instructions.

Listed application years are correct as there were some variances in the 1970 and 1981 model years with the proportioning valve. Cannot guarantee fitment.

Note: Not recommended for use as a parking brake, or for longer than 60 seconds maximum at any one time.

TECH RESOURCES
INSTALLATION NOTES:
- When working on the brake system, maintain a clean working area, not allowing dirt or foreign matter to contaminate it which may allow improper operation and failure.

WARNINGS:
- This system is designed primarily for high-performance race cars to momentarily engage front brakes (max 60 seconds) while staging for a drag race. It won't safely function as a long-term brake-holding device. It should be used only on specified applications with a standard hydraulic braking system that is in a safe, operable condition.

- It should never be used as a temporary brake-holding device in place of a parking brake or a driver depressing the brake pedal. We do NOT recommend installing the system on vehicles equipped with anti-lock or split diagonal brake systems.

CAUTION:
- Carefully read and comprehend all instructions before beginning installation. If you are inexperienced in performing this type of installation, we strongly recommend using a qualified mechanic or shop to complete it.

- Using thread seal to excess can contaminate the solenoid valve or brake system. Use sparingly and do NOT apply it to the starter thread of fittings.

- Be sure to check all connections for leakage under pressure. There must be NO leakage.
