Tune your 2020-2022 3.0L Duramax Truck with HP Tuners

HP Tuners is thrilled to offer exclusive custom tuning capabilities for the GM E46 ECM. This ECM is found in 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2) diesel trucks (non-Global B) and requires this service in order to tune the ECM using VCM Editor.

This one-time upgrade service upgrades your original E46 ECM. This requires you to remove the original ECM from your truck and send it to our headquarters for servicing. After upgrading, we'll ship it back to you and you’ll have full access to calibrate and write/flash via the OBDII port using VCM Editor.

No reprogramming or relearns required:

Important Notes

• HP Tuners supports 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2) trucks that are non-Global B. This includes "facelift" trucks as they are Global-B and contain a different controller.
• ECMs with broken tabs or connectors WILL NOT be accepted for Upgrades.
• This service only upgrades your original ECM for tuning, it does not reprogram your ECM for a different VIN. If you intend to send HP Tuners a spare E46 ECM, it will be returned to you with the same programming as it was received and may not operate in your GM vehicle without additional programming by a GM dealer.
• Your E46 ECM core must be fully functional with no physical or internal damage.
• No other tuning or calibration tools can be used with the E46 ECM (not including dealer reflash tools).
• VCM Scanner, Dealer Diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to function normally.
• The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to the stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration.
• The E46 ECM upgrade service takes about 1 to 3 business days to complete (not including shipping times).
• HP Tuners' E46 ECM support does not cover the Chevrolet Suburban LM2 at this time.

How It Works
Step 1: Once you've confirmed your vehicle's support (2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2) with E46 ECM), purchase this service.

Step 2: After placing your order, see the "Shipping" for a shipping form and address. Fill out this form and place it in your shipping box. You will also receive an email immediately after placing your order with this shipping form and address.

Step 3: Remove the ECM from your vehicle and safely package it. Place your completed shipping form in the box.

Step 4: Write your order number on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship your ECM to HP Tuners using any carrier you prefer. The shipping address can be found on this page and in the email discussed in step 2. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Step 6: HP Tuners will upgrade your ECM for tuning and diagnostics. Then, we’ll ship it back to you.

Step 7: Once you receive your upgraded ECM, install it back into your vehicle. License the E46 ECM for (6) Universal Credits (sold separately) and start tuning with your MPVI2 or newer generation device and the latest version of VCM Suite BETA

HP TUNERS' COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
HP Tuners designs and manufactures software and hardware tools for vehicle diagnostics, scanning, logging, calibration, and data acquisition purposes. The authorized use of such tools is to bring a motor vehicle into emissions compliance and/or to maintain emissions compliance, as well as for use on competition/racing and other exempted vehicles. HP Tuners does not create or provide tunes or pre-made calibrations.

HP Tuners' Terms of Use, policies, and agreements mandate that users shall comply with all local, state, and federal laws. In using HP Tuners software and hardware tools, you are representing, warranting, and agreeing not to use, employ or allow any HP Tuners tools to operate as a defeat device or to violate emissions compliance in any manner whatsoever. You further represent warrant and agree that the HP Tuners tools shall only be used by manufacturers, calibration businesses, and professionals to develop emissions-compliant and/or exempted calibrations.

Limited Product Warranties

Interfaces and Hardware Components
Duration: One (1) year from the date of purchase
Coverage: This limited one (1) year warranty only covers product defects caused by HP Tuners and is only redeemable within the original country or region of purchase by the original purchaser. This limited warranty does not extend to software or other digital products. To make a warranty claim, please provide your Proof of Purchase (original invoice and order number), device serial number (if applicable), Debug and Info logs, license file and photo evidence of defects to HP Tuners Support.

The Limited Warranty does not cover:

• Damage to product resulting from accidents, neglect, or misuse; exposure to liquid, moisture, or dirt; abnormal conditions (temperature extremes) or improper storage.
• Scratches or other cosmetic damage.
• Damage to connection points due to excessive force or improper use.
• Devices that have had the serial number removed, defaced, damaged, or altered in any way.
• Ordinary wear and tear.
• Products that have been modified, tampered with, or serviced by an unauthorized party.

Vehicle Control Modules
(PCM/ECM/TCM- New and Modification Service)

Evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Vehicle Control Modules, whether new or modified by HP Tuners, carry no warranties, expressed or implied, and are offered "as is". In the event of a problem with a Vehicle Control Module product or service, please submit a ticket to HP Tuners Support for resolution.
