T93 TCM Upgrade Options

In order to start tuning your 2019+ GM vehicle's 8 or 10-speed transmission, its T93 TCM must be unlocked to accept tunes using VCM Suite. HP Tuners offers three options to choose from depending on your needs.

T93 TCM vehicle support includes, but is not limited to:

• 2020+ Chevrolet Camaro
• 2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 (5.3L/6.2L Gas/3.0L Duramax)
• 2020+ Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD (6.6L L5P)

Only non-Global B vehicles

Note: T93 TCM support covers 8 and 10-speed-equipped 2020+ GM vehicles as well as some 2019+ GM vehicles (non-Global B). To confirm if your 2019+ GM vehicle has the T93 TCM requiring this upgrade service for tuning, please contact sales@hptuners.com.

T93 TCM Upgrade Only Service

This option upgrades your original T93 TCM that is returning to the same vehicle it came from. Our expert team will perform the TCM upgrade without pre-programming it with a VIN.

T93 TCM Upgrade & Program Service

If you want to upgrade a T93 TCM (new or old) for a different vehicle (not the original vehicle it came from), this Upgrade & Program service will do just that. Our team will upgrade and pre-program the TCM for your specific VIN-no need for the GM factory tool. When adding this service to your cart, you MUST enter the VIN of the vehicle you plan to install the TCM in.

Upgraded T93 TCM Purchase

Instead of sending in your original TCM for servicing, you can purchase a brand-new T93 TCM that is already upgraded and ready for tuning. This option is ideal for users who want their vehicle up and running as quickly as possible.

Note: HP Tuners also offers support for the following GM controllers:
- GM E46 ECM found in 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2)
- GM E90 ECM found in 2019-2021 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 5.3L & 6.2L V8
- GM E41 ECM (L5P) found in 2017+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L Duramax

Note: The T93 TCM is GM's replacement for the T87A TCM found in GM vehicles prior to 2020. If your vehicle is equipped with the T87A TCM, please see our T87A TCM service options.

Note: Universal Credits for licensing are not included in the cost of any upgrade service or purchase. Credits must be purchased separately.

Important Notes

• These GM T93 TCM Services do not apply to Global B vehicles. We do not accept T93 TCMs with Serv #24049788 as this means it's a Global B vehicle. Please check your T93 TCM prior to purchasing any of these services to confirm your T93 TCM is accepted. Please see this photo to locate the Serv# on your TCM to verify.
• The TCM you send in should already be programmed prior to the upgrade service. If you choose to send in a spare TCM, you are responsible for providing us accurate vehicle information at the time you place your order and for later having the TCM programmed via a J2534 tool or OEM Dealer Diagnostic tool to your vehicle.
• After the TCM arrives at HP Tuners, an HP Tuners engineer will upgrade the TCM so it can then be licensed, edited, and flashed with HP Tuners software. This is a one-time upgrade that will not affect other operations of the TCM. The factory tools will still work for service and HP Tuners will then work for tuning.
• Once you receive the TCM back from upgrade, re-install the TCM back into the vehicle, and then you may tune the TCM with HP Tuners' VCM Suite BETA by licensing the TCM for (4) Universal Credits (sold separately).
• If you're swapping to a new T93 TCM, the "Replace TCM" process is VCM Scanner is required. Find the instructions here. However, the IMMO relearn is NOT required.
• Once the upgrade is complete, users must license their TCM for (4) Universal Credits (sold separately) using the latest version of VCM Suite BETA and an MPV2, MPVI2+, or MPVI3 interface.

How It Works

If you select the Purchase option, these steps do not apply to you. Step 1: Once you've confirmed your vehicle's support (2019+ GM vehicles equipped with 8 and 10-speed transmissions and T93 TCM), select what service best fits your needs.

Step 2: After placing your order with the necessary information, see the "Shipping" for a shipping form and address. Fill out and print this form to place in your shipping box. You will also receive an email immediately after placing your order with this shipping form and address.

Step 3: If you purchased the Upgrade or Upgrade and Program service, remove the TCM from your vehicle and safely package it. If you purchased the Upgrade and Program service, make sure you first perform the "Replace TCM" function. This is not required for the Upgrade service as long as the TCM is returning to the same vehicle it came from. Then, package your TCM safely with the shipping form.

Step 4: Write your order number on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship your TCM to HP Tuners using any carrier you prefer. The shipping address can be found on this page and in the email discussed in step 2. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Step 6: HP Tuners will upgrade and/or program your TCM for tuning and diagnostics. Then, we'll ship it back to you.

Step 7: Once you receive your upgraded TCM, install it back into your vehicle. If you selected the Upgrade and Program option, you must perform the "Replace TCM" function again. Then, license the upgraded T93 TCM for (4) Universal Credits (sold separately) and start tuning with your MPVI2 or newer generation device and the latest version of VCM Suite.

PRINT SHIPPING FORM

Please allow 1 to 3 business days per TCM that you send in for the upgrade process, not including shipping times (i.e., 2 PCMs = 2-6 business days).

NOTE: Any hardware ordered with this product will be shipped along with your modified TCM. To avoid delays please order the hardware separately.

NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending HP Tuners your ECM/PCM/TCM. The shipping charge at checkout only covers returning your control module after modification.

HP TUNERS' COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
HP Tuners designs and manufactures software and hardware tools for vehicle diagnostics, scanning, logging, calibration, and data acquisition purposes. The authorized use of such tools is to bring a motor vehicle into emissions compliance and/or to maintain emissions compliance, as well as for use on competition/racing and other exempted vehicles. HP Tuners does not create or provide tunes or pre-made calibrations.

HP Tuners' Terms of Use, policies, and agreements mandate that users shall comply with all local, state, and federal laws. In using HP Tuners software and hardware tools, you are representing, warranting, and agreeing not to use, employ or allow any HP Tuners tools to operate as a defeat device or to violate emissions compliance in any manner whatsoever. You further represent warrant and agree that the HP Tuners tools shall only be used by manufacturers, calibration businesses, and professionals to develop emissions-compliant and/or exempted calibrations.

Limited Product Warranties

Interfaces and Hardware Components
Duration: One (1) year from the date of purchase
Coverage: This limited one (1) year warranty only covers product defects caused by HP Tuners and is only redeemable within the original country or region of purchase by the original purchaser. This limited warranty does not extend to software or other digital products. To make a warranty claim, please provide your Proof of Purchase (original invoice and order number), device serial number (if applicable), Debug and Info logs, license file and photo evidence of defects to HP Tuners Support.

The Limited Warranty does not cover:

• Damage to product resulting from accidents, neglect, or misuse; exposure to liquid, moisture, or dirt; abnormal conditions (temperature extremes) or improper storage.
• Scratches or other cosmetic damage.
• Damage to connection points due to excessive force or improper use.
• Devices that have had the serial number removed, defaced, damaged, or altered in any way.
• Ordinary wear and tear.
• Products that have been modified, tampered with, or serviced by an unauthorized party.

Vehicle Control Modules
(PCM/ECM/TCM- New and Modification Service)

Evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Vehicle Control Modules, whether new or modified by HP Tuners, carry no warranties, expressed or implied, and are offered "as is". In the event of a problem with a Vehicle Control Module product or service, please submit a ticket to HP Tuners Support for resolution.
